1. Overview
This privacy policy applies to the PediRounds website, its clinical-reference browser application, and the planned Drug Dose mobile application (together, the “Services”), provided by Dr Santanu Ghosh (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The Services are paediatric clinical references intended for qualified healthcare professionals and supervised medical trainees.
The current public browser release provides free access to Drug Doses, Immunisation, Vaccine Schedule and Calculators, plus the first five Infusion and Neonatology medicines. It does not require account creation, subscriptions or payment, does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not send patient weight, age, saved items, recent items or preferences to us.
2. Information handled by the Services
The clinical-reference browser application allows a user to enter a patient weight and age so that reference calculations can be displayed. It may also store the user’s saved items, recently viewed items, colour theme and text-size preference.
In the current version:
- No account, name, email address, telephone number or user profile is requested.
- No patient name, medical-record number or other direct patient identifier is requested.
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, health-sensor data or advertising identifier is accessed.
- No analytics or advertising service is integrated by the App.
- Weight and age are used locally to generate on-screen reference values.
Users should never enter directly identifying patient information into the search field or any linked third-party service.
3. On-device storage
The Services store limited settings and working data in local application or browser storage on the user’s device. This may include:
- entered weight and age;
- saved or starred reference items;
- recently viewed items;
- theme and text-size preferences.
This information is not transmitted to us by the current browser application. It remains in that browser unless the user clears site data or browser storage. A device backup or browser-synchronisation service controlled by the user may separately process local data according to that provider’s terms.
4. Website hosting and device features
The current public web release does not send search queries to third-party search or artificial-intelligence services. Links elsewhere on the website, such as email links, open only after the user selects them.
The copy feature may use the device clipboard only after the user selects a copy action. Clipboard handling is controlled by the user’s browser, device and operating system.
Website hosting
This public website is hosted by Hostinger. Hostinger may process standard server logs—such as IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp—to deliver and secure the site. We do not use these logs for targeted advertising. This section will be updated if analytics, cookies, forms or other services are later added.
5. Retention and deletion
Because the current browser application stores its working data locally, the user controls its retention. Clearing site data or browser storage removes that locally stored data, subject to any browser or operating-system backup. We do not hold an account or server-side patient record to delete.
If a future version adds accounts, subscriptions, payments, advertising, analytics, crash reporting, synchronisation or cloud storage, this policy, any required consent controls and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before those features are activated.
6. Security
We use data-minimisation and local processing to reduce exposure. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and users remain responsible for securing their devices, applying operating-system updates, and avoiding entry of identifiable patient data.
7. Health and medical information
Drug Dose is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. It is a reference tool for qualified healthcare professionals. Users must verify all information against a current authoritative formulary, manufacturer information, local protocol and the individual clinical context. Users should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
8. Children’s privacy
Although the App concerns paediatric care, it is not directed to children and is not designed for use by children or by patients for self-medication. The current App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Services’ features, data practices, monetisation, legal requirements or third-party services change. The revised policy will show a new effective date. Material changes should also be communicated within the relevant application where appropriate.
