Respiratory depression; monitor. Max single ~10 mg.

IV 0.1–0.2 mg/kg; IM/IN 0.2–0.3 mg/kg; buccal 0.3 mg/kg (seizure). That is 0.1–0.2 mg/kg per dose.

The maximum single dose is 10 mg. Weight-based calculation should never exceed this ceiling.

Midazolam is given by IV, titrate.
