Catch-up schedule
Recommended up to 18 years. Age 7–10 y not fully immunised → Tdap as first dose, then Td. If Tdap unavailable, substitute Td.
Adverse events (AEFI)
Local pain/redness/swelling; low-grade fever, malaise. Much less intense than DTwP. Efficacy ~90%.

Special considerations
Also recommended in every pregnancy (27–36 wk) for maternal & neonatal pertussis protection. Contraindicated with encephalopathy after a previous dose. Store 2–8°C, do not freeze.
